Priyanka Chopra reveals Citadel is the first time she got equal pay in her 22-year career: ‘I might get into trouble…’

This week’s official Citadel trailer was released by Prime Video. The Citadel trailer wowed viewers with its action, glitzy star cast, and international imagery. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are executive producers of the high-budget spy thriller series.

A brand-new clip starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden has just been made available on Prime Video. Mason Kane (Madden) tries to explain to Nadia Sinh (Priyanka) about her history as a spy and all the missions she has handled in her career in the one-and-a-half minute clip. When Mason informs Nadia that “They wiped your memory” and that she once worked for the covert organisation Citadel, Nadia is confused.

During an interview with Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke at the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) 2023, Priyanka said that it was only on Citadel that she received equal pay for the first time in her career. She said, “I might get into trouble for saying this, depends on who’s watching. I’ve been working in the entertainment industry for now 22 years, and I have done almost 70-plus features and two TV shows. But when I did Citadel, it was the first time in my career that I had pay parity. I’m laughing about this, but it’s kind of nuts.”
