SHOCKING! Nayanthara exposes the ugly truth she faced of casting couch, says she was offered ‘favours’

The prevalence of the casting couch in the entertainment industry was brought up by actor Nayanthara. Nayanthara revealed that she once received a pivotal role in a movie in exchange for favours. She recently welcomed twins via surrogacy with Vignesh Shivan.She added that she refused the offer and emphasised that she only believed in her acting skills.

At a recent media interaction, Nayanthara mentioned the casting couch, saying that she was asked for a few “favours” and in return was offered an important role in the film.She stated that she ‘bravely’ declined the offer because she was confident that her talent would establish her as one of the leading actresses later on. She isn’t the first to address the issue of casting couches in the South industries, as Anushka Shetty did in 2020.

On the work front, Nayanthara fans are eagerly waiting to see her opposite SRK in Atlee’s Jawan. The film features Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover among others. 

Nayanthara got married to longtime beau Vignesh Shivan in June 2022 in Mahabalipuram. Netflix streamed the documentary of actress Nayanthara’s wedding titled ‘Nayanthara – Beyond The Fairytale’.
