Milap Zaveri plans to shoot even action sequences on the streets of Lucknow, a very ambitious move, to be honest. He reveals that he has given John Abraham a virtual tour of the locations and that both are extremely kicked about it.

Producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series is aware of the challenge the unit might face for deciding to shoot action scenes on the streets of Lucknow. But he is confident that stringent SoPs will create a safe shooting environment. “It will be scary for the crew at live locations, but it is important to give our audience some entertainment during this pandemic,” he said, adding, “When we decide to take a franchise forward, we have to be ready with larger-than-life stories and characters. This script is a notch higher and Milap has worked rigorously on the action scenes with John during the lockdown.”

Before the lockdown imposed by the novel coronavirus, Satyameva Jayate 2 was to be based in Mumbai. But Milap Zaveri believes that Lucknow would be an apt setting given the subject of Satyameva Jayate 2, and therefore decided to relocate the story there.

In addition, Milap Zaveri believes that the transition will give the film a pan-India appeal and reach out to viewers in every part of the country. Plus, John’s Varanasi roots will come in handy.

Team Satyameva Jayate 2, however, will shoot for a few days at a Mumbai studio early next year before calling it a wrap.
