In an unexpected turn of events, actor-turned-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin last night shared his thoughts on the film Leo, starring Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay. He praised Lokesh Kanagaraj’s “excellent filmmaking,” addressing Vijay as “Anna,” which means “elder brother.”
The highlight of his tweet, however, was him explicitly confirming Vijay’s Leo belongs to the same unitive as Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Karthi’s Kaithi. In his tweet, Udhayanidhi used the hashtag #LCU, putting an end to speculation about whether or not this part is part of an evolving cinematic universe.
Even though Udhayanidhi has announced his retirement from acting in order to devote his full attention to his political ambitions, he remains an avid moviegoer. He never fails to watch new films and promote them if he enjoys them. He isn’t just interested in Tamil films. Previously, he praised Kannada romantic drama Sapta Sagaradaache Ello and Malayalam action drama RDX.
