For his next project, the Superstar is said to be teaming up with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The latter was supposed to start Kaithi 2 next, but it appears that plans have changed and the Leo filmmaker will work with Rajini first before taking on other projects.
Rajinikanth has completed filming for his daughter’s Lal Salaam, in which he appears in an extended cameo. The project’s release date has yet to be announced. His film with Lokesh, tentatively titled Thalaivar 171, is set to begin production in February 2024.
