Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham-starrer Pathaan continues to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. Siddharth Anand’s spy thriller earned Rs 21 crore nett in India on Day 7, taking its first week collections to Rs 315 crore nett, according to Box Office India reports.After registering a humongous opening of Rs 55 crore nett on opening day, Pathaan raised Rs 70 crore nett on the second day, followed by Rs 35 crore nett on the first Friday.
The film earned Rs 123 crore nett over the weekend and Rs 26.5 crore nett on Monday. Pathaan became the fastest Hindi film to hit the Rs 300 crore milestone in the domestic box office. It took seven days to join the club, while Baahubali: The Conclusion (Hindi version) did the same in 10 days and KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi version) in 11 days. Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal (2016) achieved this feat in 13 days, Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju (2017) took 16 days to hit the Rs 300 crore mark.
In terms of box office haul in the first week, Pathaan has also beaten the record of KGF: Chapter 2 (2022), which earned Rs 268.63 crore nett in seven days, and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017), which raked in Rs 247 crore nett in the first week.
