The actor-director brothers are teaming up for the seventh time in their careers, for the sequel of the blockbuster movie Thani Oruvan. As per the latest reports, the project, which has been titled as Thani Oruvan 2, will start rolling in February 2021.
The sources close to the project suggest that director Mohan Raja has already finished the scripting for the project. The team is currently busy with the other pre-production activities. The makers were originally planning to kickstart the shooting of Thani Oruvan 2 by the second half of 2020. But now, the film is slated to go on floors in February 2021, considering the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Even though the makers have not revealed any details regarding the theme of the second installment, the sources suggest that the sequel will have a stronger antagonist. Some of the leading names of the South Indian film industry are said to be in consideration for the role of the main antagonist in Thani Oruvan 2. An official update on the project is expected to be revealed very soon.
