It is already known that the Bollywood blockbuster Andhadhun is being remade in Telugu with Nithiin reprising the role of Ayushmann Khurrana.
Rumours of the female leads surfaced the last few months about everyone from Ramya Krishnan to Anasuya Bharadwaj’s name being linked to the project. So, fans were surprised to see that Nabha Natesh and Tamannaah Bhatia are the actresses who have been finalised to reprise the roles played by Radhika Apte and Tabu in the original.

The filmmakers put an end to all rumours and made an announcement today which states that the Andhadhun remake, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi will start rolling from November. The note reads, “Tabu won critical acclaims, besides securing several awards including Filmfare award. Now, Tamannaah accepts the challenge to play the role with lots of shades. Every character in the film has good importance and Nabha Natesh is happy to play the leading lady.”
The remake will be produced by N Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy under the Sreshth Movies banner, while Tagore Madhu will present it. It will see music by Mahati Swara Sagar with Hari K Vedanth handling the cinematography. Rest of the crew is yet to be announced.

Apart from this, Nabha also has Solo Brathuke So Better with Sai Dharam Tej lined up for release while Tamannaah has Seetimaarr. The latter will also soon shoot for the Telugu remake of Kannada hit Love Mocktail, titled Gurthunda Seethakalam. Further details are awaited.
