Filmmaker Mari Selvaraj’s much-anticipated sports drama, featuring actor Dhruv Vikram and produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions, has officially commenced filming. The project, previously unveiled as a collaboration between Selvaraj and Ranjith, took its first steps towards production today, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
Accompanying the commencement of filming is the exciting revelation of the film’s title: “Bison – Kaalamaadan.” This announcement was accompanied by a special first look image showcasing Dhruv, intensifying anticipation among eager fans.
While initial reports suggest that “Bison” narrates the real-life saga of Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, the makers are yet to provide official confirmation on this aspect. However, a statement from the production team sheds light on the film’s essence, describing it as a gripping sports drama that delves into themes of courage, resilience, and triumph in the face of daunting challenges.
Adding to the intrigue, the film boasts a stellar cast ensemble, with Anupama Parameswaran portraying the female lead alongside acclaimed actors Lal, Pasupathy, Kalaiyarasan, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, and Aruvi Madhan in pivotal roles.
