The highly anticipated film “Kalki 2898 AD” starring Prabhas has announced a new release date. On Saturday, April 27, the makers revealed that the sci-fi extravaganza is set to hit the screens on June 27, much to the excitement of fans eagerly awaiting its arrival.

During a recent interaction with movie enthusiasts at an event, director Nag Ashwin addressed comparisons between “Kalki 2898 AD” and the Hollywood movie “Dune.” Responding with humor, Ashwin remarked, “Yeah! (Laughed) That is because you see sand. Wherever you see sand, it looks like Dune.” This isn’t the first time the film has drawn parallels with Hollywood productions, with its concept, craftsmanship, and visual appeal drawing comparisons to major Hollywood releases.

With expectations soaring since its inception, the film, also starring Deepika Padukone, has been steadily building anticipation. As the release date approaches, the makers have been treating fans with glimpses of the characters through posters, highlighting the film’s visual grandeur and thematic elements, notably featuring sand as a recurring motif.
