Dream Girl 2 made 7.50 crores on Thursday, a partial holiday, at the box office. After a day, it actually fared quite well, as evidenced by the 4.70 crores* that came in.
While this is nice, the best part is how close it is to the 5.42 crores in Monday collections.
The Raaj Shaandilyaa-directed mass comedy opened at 10.69 crores on Monday, and even on the second Friday, the drop is only slightly more than 60%, which is a good sign. Since the film is expected to perform well today, at least 13-14 crores more will be collected by the end of the second weekend.
So far, the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer has earned 71.70 crores, with the film expected to earn around 85 crores by the end of the second weekend. Dream Girl 2 would then need to surpass the 100 crore mark, which should be possible given the partial holiday of Janamashtami coming up on Wednesday, which will see a further increase in collections.
