‘Wonder Woman’ Gal Gadot To Star As Evil Queen In Disney’s Live-Action ‘Snow White’

Marc Webb will direct, with Marc Platt producing. Production is expected to start in 2022.

Hollywood star Gal Gadot is set to turn the evil queen in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Snow White. Gal, who’s popularly known for playing Wonder Woman in the DC universe, will unleash her wicked side in the film. Gadot will star opposite ‘West Side Story’ breakout star Rachel Zegler, who was cast as Snow White in June. Incidentally, the Brothers Grimm fairytale was Disney’s first animated feature in 1937.

According to a Deadline report, “The live-action film will expand upon the story and music from the original.” It further shared that the Oscar-winning duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who’ve delivered hits like La La Land, The Greatest Showman, and Dear Evan Hansen, will write new songs for the movie.

Gal Gadot, who will soon be seen alongside Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds in the Netflix release Red Notice, is expected to start shooting for Snow White in 2022. She is also developing Cleopatra at Paramount, which she is producing. She can also be seen in Death on the Nile and is shooting Netflix’s Heart of Stone.
